At Pálás, we know that it can be hard for new parents to get the time to do something for themselves. Our dedicated Parent and Baby screenings let you catch one of our new releases without having to find a sitter, or worrying that you’ll have to run for the door if the little one gets fussy. Every Tuesday & Saturday morning!
To make it easier for parents to catch a film, there is discounted parking in the Hynes Yard car park for Pálás patrons. We also have a place to store your pram or buggy, and we turn down the volume and keep low lighting for baby (and parent!) comfort.
There is also complimentary tea & coffee for parents before each screening, as well as a 10% discount on lunch in Merrow!
Jimmie Fails dreams of reclaiming the Victorian home his grandfather built in the heart of San Francisco. Joined on his quest by his best friend Mont, Jimmie searches for belonging in a rapidly changing city that seems to have left them behind. As he struggles to reconnect with his family and reconstruct the community he longs for, his hopes blind him to the reality of his situation.
A wistful odyssey populated by skaters, squatters, street preachers, playwrights, and other locals on the margins, The Last Black Man in San Francisco is a poignant and sweeping story of hometowns and how they’re made—and kept alive—by the people who love them.
