Light House Cinema

Opened in 2012 by Element Cinema Group, Light House is one of Dublin's most vibrant cultural spaces with 614 seats across 4 screens including a cafe and subterranean bar built into the framework of an underground car park.

Their excellent presentation and unique programming style has earned them the reputation as one of the best cinemas in Ireland with accolades from the likes of the Guardian Film Awards (Highly Commended Best Cinema) and ARTINFO (Coolest Cinema in the World).

 

Element Pictures

Light House Cinema was reopened by Element Pictures in January 2012. One of Ireland’s leading film production companies, Element also owns and operates a distribution company and Ireland's first independent streaming platform, Volta.ie. Recent hits include This Must Be The Place, The Guard, Room, The Lobster, Frank, The Killing of a Sacred Deer & The Favourite, with lots more to come this year. Stream or download the best Irish and international independent films. Volta’s extensive catalogue contains lots of films we’ve shown here in the past, and they often have films to rent on  the same day as we start showing them here. Europa Cinemas

Founded in 1992 with funding from the MEDIA programme and from the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC), Europa Cinemas is the first film theatre network focusing on European films. Its objective is to provide operational and financial support to cinemas that commit themselves to screen a significant number of European non-national films, to offer events and initiatives as well  as promotional activities targeted at Young Audiences.
