Synopsis

I can’t believe you haven’t seen... This Is Spinal Tap. Why don't you join us to watch the greatest rock movie ever made, the movie that did for rock and roll what The Sound Of Music did for hills, with the in-character audio commentary as an option, on the headphones provided on entry.  Just switch between the regular movie and the audio commentary whenever you like.

In 1966, filmmaker Marti DeBergi (he makes a lot of commercials, that little dog that chases the covered wagon underneath the sink?), heard Spinal Tap play in a club called Electric Banana in Greenwich Village - don't look for it, it's not there anymore - and for him, that band redefined the word "rock and roll". He was knocked out by their power. Their exuberance. Their punctuality.

In 1982, when he heard they were releasing their fifteenth studio album, Smell The Glove, and planning their first US tour in almost six years, he jumped at the chance to make this 'rockumentary'. He wanted to catch the sights, the sounds and the smells of a hard working rock band on the road. He got that. And more. A lot more...

25 years later, the band reluctantly recorded an audio commentary for the documentary. You can switch between the regular movie and the audio commentary on the headphones provided if you like. Or just stay on one channel if you’re not interested in. It’s like watching it for the first time. Again.
